Join author Kate Ristau for the launch of her long-awaited sequel to CLOCKBREAKERS. The Middle Grade saga continues with all your favorite characters. In the sequel, MORRIGAN'S REVENGE, 5th-grader Charlie returns to time travel, only this time, she faces an unexpected challenge. Kate will be reading & signing at Annie Blooms Tuesday, April 9th at 7:00 PM.
I had the pleasure of chatting with Kate, and learning more about her latest book, and why writing Middle Grade is her passion. High on her list of enthusiasms for the age group is the freedom to go "nuts" with magical elements. "The readers of middle grade fiction embrace the idea of suspending disbelief. They have the freedom to enjoy big, magical, beautiful things without cynicism."
Here are three things fans of CLOCKBREAKERS should know about MORRIGAN'S REVENGE:
1. The book opens in Charlie's fifth grade classroom, and spends a bit of time in the "regular world" before Charlie enters the portal.
2. There are three characters with very different personalities, who handle situations with differing emotional perspectives.
3. As with many middle grade novels, the theme of friendship is integral to the journey.
So, what are you waiting for! Come on down to Annie Blooms tonight (Tuesday) and get your personalized copy!
